IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors
Course overview
The course aims to provide those who have operational or strategic accountability of their organisation with an understanding of the moral, legal and business case for; proactive safety, health and risk management, strategic safety and health management and its integration into holistic business management systems and procedures.
Course objectives
- Understand the legal, moral and financial role of the board
- Explain the importance of integrating health and safety objectives with other business objectives
- Illustrate how to plan direction for a safety and health policy
- Outline the benefits of good safety and health management systems
- Highlight the importance of reviewing and improving management systems
- Explain the positive impact and improvement that an organisation's leaders can develop through their attitude and support
- Describe the importance of performance monitoring and review
Assessment
Assessment is via a Personal Commitment Statement completed after the course.
